CHECKUPS

Dentist Checkups are recommended by the Canadian Dental Association (CDA) at least every six months in order to ensure optimum dental health. During your visit Dr's Jaspreet and Ravinder Bhamra will examine your teeth and gums for signs of tooth decay, gingivitis and other potential health problems. 

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A CHECKUP?

During your Checkup at Alpha Dental Care in Milton we will:

• Clean your teeth - our dental hygienist will begin by scraping your teeth or by using a power scaler.  The power scaler works by using high vibrational energy that crushes and removes calculus from the teeth.
• Teeth and Gum Inspection - our dentists will carefully inspect the teeth and gums to look for signs of decay, gingivitis and other health problems.
• X-Rays - we will occasionally take X-rays to allow the Dr's Jaspreet and Ravinder to get a better look at your teeth, especially if decay is suspected.
• Results and Advice - after your checkup is complete we will let you know exactly what's happening in your mouth and provide advice about next steps (from regular cleaning advice to appointments for further work if necessary).
• Booking your Next Appointment - the final step of your checkup is booking your next appointment.  This is important so that you can maintain your regular checkup and cleaning schedule and maintain optimal oral health!
